ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

THE FLYING VIPERS are a dub reggae band formed by twin brothers John and Marc Beaudette and Zack Brines. The band began as an instrumental side project of the group Destroy Babylon. Their latest album, “Off World,” features the vocalist Kellee Webb, who answers to the stage name “Lady K.”

A founding member of the Paid Protesters, ERIC SALT was a mainstay of the late, lamented Abbey Lounge scene. He has released three albums with his band the Electric City. A longtime member of Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents, Salt was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Rock & Roll Rumble.

JIM INFANTINO established his career as a songwriter on the coffeehouse circuit around Boston in the 1980s. Frontman for the band Jim’s Big Ego, Infantino has written a steady stream of protest-themed songs in recent months.

DWAYNE HAGGINS didn’t pick up a guitar until he was 18, but he has made the most of his time since. A tireless live performer, he has shared stages with Keb’ Mo’, George Thorogood, Ronnie Earl, and many more. Haggins has been called “the John Legend of rockabilly” and “the ‘what-took-you-so-long?’ fusion of Elvis Presley and Marvin Gaye.”

DENNIS BRENNAN’s musical roots stretch back to the 1960s, when his high school band, the Paranoids, opened shows for the Remains and the Barbarians. After years of roadwork with various bands, he formed the Dennis Brennan Band in 1992. Brennan has been a highly regarded fixture on the local scene ever since.

With their legendary loft space on Thayer Street in the early 1980s, THE DOGMATICS placed themselves at the chaotic center of the thriving Boston music scene. They found some national success, sharing bills with the Replacements, Los Lobos, and the Bangles, to name a few. Led by founding members Peter O’Halloran and Jerry Lehane, the band released “Nowheresville,” their first new album in nearly 40 years, in 2025.

Guest speaker DR. EMMETT PRICE is the inaugural Dean of Africana Studies at Berklee College of Music. He is the author and/or editor of several books on Black music, including the Encyclopedia of African-American Music. Dr. Piece is a regular guest on GBH’s Boston Public Radio.
